X-Yachts' 46th Anniversary

X-YACHTS CELEBRATES 46 YEARS

This year, we proudly celebrate 46 years of craftsmanship, innovation, and passion for sailing.

Since our founding in 1979, February 10th, by Lars and Niels Jeppesen alongside Birger Hansen, X-Yachts has been dedicated to designing and building world-class sailboats that redefine performance and quality.

Where it all started

It all started with the iconic X-79, which set the standard for performance and innovation. With a length of 7.9 meters and a rare combination of speed and sailing capabilities, the X-79 quickly became a popular choice among sailors and regatta enthusiasts. From 1979 to 1994, a total of 468 of these classics were built.

Since then, we have produced over 6,000 boats and continue to build boats for sailors worldwide. Our three current series – X-Cruising, Pure X and X-Racing – cover everything from comfortable cruising yachts to high-performance racing boats. This year 2025, we honored our racing roots by introducing the ultimate racer XR 41.

With headquarters still located in Haderslev, Denmark, our own production unit in Poland, and a global dealer network of 40 partners, X-Yachts has grown from a visionary idea into an international brand. Today X-Yachts consists of 300 skilled professionals, who continues to push the boundaries of yacht design and performance.
